Bentonite Clay Mask

The Bentonite Clay Mask is my favorite all natural deep cleansing mask to combat combination/oily skin as well as occasional breakouts. Bentonite clay is a clay that is mined from the earth, and it’s formed after volcanic ash has weathered and aged in the presence of water. It has a strong negative electromagnetic charge, and when activated by water, it acts like a magnet in and on our bodies, pulling metals and toxins to it. It also has an affect on the body’s pH and provides the body with some vital minerals at the same time.

ALL purchased from Whole Foods! (Bentonite Clay can also be purchased online) I use ACV due to its antimicrobial properties. Tea tree oil also assists in treating and preventing acne.
STEP 1: Add 2-3tbsp of clay to plastic bowl  STEP 2: Add small amount of ACV or water (only adding enough for a paste-like consistency) STEP 3: Mix until paste forms adding  1-2 drops of tea tree oil (optional)
Leave on for approx. 10mins or until clay begins to dry (you will feel a cooling sensation and almost a slight pulsation as the clay dries on your face.) Lastly, rinse off with warm water. 😉
This mask can be very drying so be sure to moisturize right after! Here are my faves: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion and Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Activating Oil.
